As the market continues to go into despair, your lease is coming due; what should you do? Leasing is now overpriced and financing is just too expensive. The obvious answer is to look for a less expensive alternative.

Pre-owned cars will see their stocks rise over the next several years as the value has now become overly apparent. The most depreciation an auto car succumbs to in terms of price, typically comes in the first year of the cars life. So, why has the majority of Canadian strained away from used auto cars and made leasing the popular choice? Simply, Canadians are apprehensive about buying for fear of buying someone else’s problems. There has been a stigma attached to the used auto car, Canadians look at second hand auto cars in a way of inferior quality.

Rather than taking the perceived risk on quality, Canadians leaned to leasing which offered the alternative, which was a new car fully warranted and guaranteed. Leasing a car at a new car price combined with the interest rates represents one of the poorest financial decisions one can make. Essentially, one is renting a auto car and after 3-4 years has zero equity in it. Not to mention in 3-4 years the auto car is typically not worth even close to cost associated with the buyback. Now, as leases are spiraling into a downfall Canadians must turn to yet another corner. Today, Canadians must begin to see the light; the used cars of today are not what they have been in the past.

Over the past decade, the quality of auto cars have seen significant increases, which have led to used cars and used trucks lasting longer, looking better and driving newer. As used autos have become highly durable as their quality continues to increase. From an expense stand point a used auto is also the way to go. Buying a car that is two or three years old can allow some to save over 50% from its original manufacturer’s price. In addition one can purchase extended warranty to truly give people the feeling and comfort of buying a new car.

Furthermore, buying a used car will allow many to buy an auto car that they could never have afforded new. Therefore some, who were thinking of buying an economy car, can now purchase a luxury car that is of a couple years old. The advantages are quite apparent and now with the advent of the pre-owned certified auto car, Canadians may finally follow in the footsteps of Americans by making the pre owned auto car the popular choice among the nation.

Buying a certified pre-owned car provides all the feeling and comfort of buying new, but at price that is much more affordable with respect to the particular auto cars’ sticker price. Just for example BMW pre-owned certified auto car can only be purchased from a franchised dealer. TO become certified pre-owned cars, autos must be with in a certain age, mileage and meet a thorough inspection. If they meet these standards, the auto car is then fully restored to new condition and sold with a manufacturers extended warranty.

In addition most pre-owned certified car programs such bmw pre-owned certified, toyota pre-owned certified or honda pre-owned certified offer roadside assistance, exchange or money back guarantees as well as auto car history reports. All in all, a certified pre-owned car gives you all of the comfort of a new car purchase, but at price Canadians can afford.

One must only buy a car from a dealer licensed by a manufacturer since the requirements to be true certified pre-owned cars are stipulated by the manufacturers themselves. Anyone can “certify” or even guarantee a car or truck but a pre-owned certified auto car is thoroughly inspected and then restored to new condition.

Certified pre-owned car programs have already had a dramatic effect in the automotive market. There popularity should only continue to increase as franchised dealers continue to stress the value. The price difference of buying a car or truck that’s certified pre-owned vs. new couldn’t be more evident, in turn the minimal price increases of pre-owned certified cars vs. used can only be perceived as worthwhile in terms of value. This why we believe that Canada will see a dramatic increase in certified pre-owned car sales, as dealers have worked to remove the apprehension from buying a second hand auto car.

Dana Noonan asked:

The romantic long-stemmed rose is the instantly recognizable signature of hybrid teas, and it’s what makes them the most popular variety of roses. Public gardens feature special sections devoted to roses, especially colorful hybrid teas. Home gardeners enjoy growing hybrid tea roses that make lovely floral arrangments. Florists love the Tiffany hybrid tea rose for its ability to stand up so well in bouquets. But despite the world famous renown of those fragrant hybrid tea roses, some expert gardeners say that you can’t avoid the fact that they often require a great deal of care.

Some hybrid tea roses may be better suited to your area’s weather and soil conditions than others. If your location has humid summers, you should be growing hybrid tea roses that resist mildew. Drier regions will demand your rose plants to have more vigorous root systems, to sufficiently sustain them against drought periods in addition to the necessary amount of hybrid tea rose care required. Varieties like the Blue Girl hybrid tea rose require quite a few treatments to fend off nasty diseases like blackspot.

While not generally recommended for colder climates, certain types such as the hybrid tea rose like the Terracotta offer hardier petals and last longer after cutting. Blooming big from late spring to fall, their colors darken from a chocolate shade in cool weather to a vibrant cinnamon on warm days! The Terracotta is one of the gently fragrant hybrid tea roses most suitable for cutting, as the scent won’t be overpowering.

There are even more spectacular shades including the charming Vienna rose with its fruity orange on orange blend, or the lilac-toned Blue Moon rose that makes stunning floral arrangements with red and pink roses. The Elle hybrid tea rose, a 2005 AARS prizewinner, offers the most striking color combination of soft pink petals and a brilliant yellow undertone that makes this absolutely gorgeous flower, with its scent of citrus mixed with spice, a standout for your garden of hybrid tea roses!

Copyright 2005 Dana Noonan – www.RoseGardening101.com

Annettew asked:

Growing Tomatoes: Heirlooms vs. Hybrids

Tomatoes from the grocery store shelves taste like—NOTHING! Why? Most of the tomatoes purchased from grocery stores have been harvested days before they reach the grocery, treated to turn red, and bred to stay firm and not bruise on the shelves. Plant breeding for the last fifty years has concentrated on producing a tomato that can survive anything—except for a taste test.

Gardeners and tomato aficionados alike have given up on the produce aisle for anything other than garnish. Instead, they turn to seed and plant catalogues to find tasty varieties to grow. When viewing a plant catalogue of tomato seed sources, you will be confronted with hundreds of varieties. Huge and tiny, purple, red, yellow and orange tomatoes. Perfectly round, almost flat, and lemon-shaped tomatoes. Seed catalogues highlight another variable to understand regarding tomato growing: heirloom versus hybrid tomatoes.

Heirloom Tomatoes

Tasty and unique, heirloom varieties are endless. This category of plant is where you will find purple, orange and yellow tomatoes sharing catalogue space with red ones. Heirloom varieties are “open pollinated” plants, which means that if you harvest seeds from a plant, prepare them, save them, and plant them next year, you will grow the same plant. Heirloom varieties were developed over time, in isolated gardens and communities, thus developing unique characteristics.

Heirlooms require particular growing conditions, and each variety is different. The key to success with heirlooms is choosing a variety that is well suited to your growing conditions. Because heirloom tomatoes have not been bred for generations to promote vigor and disease resistance, these varieties need a little bit of extra care. They are, however, worth the extra work. Heirlooms will produce lush, flavorful tomatoes of every shape, size and hue, for every culinary taste or need.

Hybrid Tomatoes

These tomatoes are the result of two different tomato varieties being “crossed” or joined, and the seeds harvested from the resulting plants. Hybrid tomato seeds will produce the tomato with hybrid characteristics for only one plant generation. If you harvest your tomatoes from the hybrid plant and plant those seeds next year, you will not have the same plant.

Hybrid tomatoes have been bred for disease resistance, uniformity, and ability to withstand mechanical harvesting, packing and shipping. Little time has been spent in enhancing flavor in hybrid tomatoes. Much like hybrid tea roses, hybrid tomatoes may be nice to look at, but they have few other desirable attributes.

For large-scale commercial tomato growers, hybrid tomatoes are a great help. For consumers expecting bright red tomatoes in the middle of winter, hybrids are a way to consume. For home gardeners, Heirloom varieties produce yields as large, and much more flavorful. Home gardeners have enough time an attention to successfully grow heirloom tomatoes and bring out their best qualities.

Choosing the Right Variety

Whether Heirlooms or Hybrids are your tomato of choice, you much choose tomato varieties that are well suited to your growing environment. Climates with high heat and humidity will help certain varieties flourish, while colder climates with shorter growing seasons require cultivation of plants that set fruit and mature faster.

For a comprehensive resource on tomato varieties, both heirloom and hybrid, consult How To Grow Juicy Tasty Tomatoes available from www.bestjuicytomatoes.com

Michele De Capitani asked:
